It's called Star Spin. Roolen on this board has a blog & a tutorial. Also, there is a pattern called Strata Star. I think that it is shown on You Tube. Roolen is Russian & even with the translation into English it can be a bit confusing, but after looking at the pictures I was able to figure it out. This is the second one that I have made. It's not hard, but you do have to pay attention to placement. You make 5 - 6 bands of fabric strips that are the width of the fabric & are 5 1/2" wide. Then cut into triangles. I'm sure a triangular ruler helps, but I put masking tape on 2 different lines on my 9" square ruler to cut the triangles...I'm cheap...ha. There are 8 small triangles. And you cut 16 triangles that are sewn together to make 8 large triangles. Then place the 8 & 8 to make the topper. Look up Roolen on this board for the Star Spin & You Tube for the Strata Star.
