I love the quilts. Your colors are so vibrant. I'm especially fond of your mariner's compass. It's one I've always wanted to make.

gorgeous! I love batiks, good to know that they are a little more difficult to quilt... I would love to do a giant dahlia in all batiks (I'll just add it to the ever-growing list)

Batik compass quilt is "to dye for". You are very dedicated to hand quilt it. Very nice work.

I was just admiring your avatar on your OBW thread and was about to check your topics to see if it was on here and then there it was! It is absolutely beautiful piecing and quilting. But you must have fingers like iron to quilt not only batik but PPd batik at that!!! Respect! :-D :-D :-D

It did a lot of sitting in the corner while I whined over sore fingers. My youngest (43) asked me a long time ago to make this for her so it was a labor of love.

Well it was certainly worth it! I'm about your daughter's age, do you want to adopt me and make me one too?

Adopting is fine but shouldn't the child be doing for the parent? Maybe you are already a relative as my Dad came over from Colchester in 1921.
