About a month ago I reported that while on vacation I learned that all four of the quilts I had left for our local quilt show had won awards. We have now been home for a week and I have retrieved my quilts & some of my awards. The LQS has monetary awards, but wants to hand them out at the next guild meeting. So anxious for that. There are four quilts and several pics so bear with me.

This little quilt is from the Challenge "theme" catagory, which was "West Texas Sunsets, Wind & Black Gold. It recieved 2nd place

This was a round robin quilt I did with my two best friends. It received the "Judges Choice" award

This is my version of "Over the River"..I did a lot of custom "redesigning" on this one. It recieved a third place

this is close up of the cotton field I added to the design (french knots for the cotton boles) and I changed the words too.

Love the cotton fields--I always think of that as Texas "snow" when it's picked and leaves little fluffs dusting the side of the highway. Congratulations on your awards. :)
