    Default baby clothes quilt

Plenty of people have made t-shirt quilts. But have you ever tried making a quilt from baby clothes? I was asked by a friend to help her create a keepsake quilt for her daughter from her grandson's baby clothes. So these are made from onsies, shirts, jammies with feet, burp cloths, diapers, bibs. I even included a pair of bunny slippers that I cut apart and sewed the top part, with the ears, on the blocks. She helped with the cutting, pairing up pieces to create the blocks, choosing the sashing and tying the finished product. She's on her way to her daughter's this week to present it to her.

    How fun!
Did you have to strengthen some of the fabrics? How is that done? I've been afraid to try a tee shirt quilt due to the extreme softness and thinness of long worn & washed tees.

I have been thinking about doing this with my grown sons' baby clothes. Yours is really nice. Thanks for sharing.

Love it! My daughter has been wanting me to make one so I'm glad to see an example.

What a beautiful keepsake! And how nice, that your friend was willing to contribute time and ideas as well.
