baby clothes quilt
#12
They all had to be stabilized with a woven interfacing before I even started putting the blocks together. I cut out the parts I wanted first a bit larger than needed, laid all the pieces face up on a stabilizer, adhesive side up then press according to instructions. Just make sure the stretch runs in opposite direction. After it cooled I cut the blocks out to size. Surprisingly, any kind of fabric worked well once they were stabilized. They sew just like a heavier cotton. If you are still hesitant when you sew them, pin like crazy.

I also made a quilt from baby and toddler and child clothes. The older clothes needed starching and light muslin backing. also included were some soccer tees. It was for her Bat Mitzvah. She was so surprised and grateful to finally find d"those" tees. A lot of fun and learning from this one.
