Jealous - I just don't seem to have any fabrics that look right for me to do this.......and boy oh boy do I look! I guess I will just have to take a piece and just CUT IT and see what happens.

OBW is a one block wonder. A kaleidoscope pattern with no setting blocks. Triangle shapes put together in hex (6 sided) or octogon ( 8 sided) shapes.

I like to choose by color first, and depending on how soft or vibrant I want it, small (2.5") prints will make subtle color changes, bigger prints will make more.


Deb, do you have a couple of pocket mirrors you can take to the lqs with you? I use them to sample the fabric with.
Funny ya'll should start posting on this thread again, I just got this one back from the quilter and need to bind it and send it off. The baby arrived early, Nov. 25th and so I am late getting it to her. :oops:
