This is my first attempt at posting pictures so bear with me. Each square of the baby's mat is made of a different texture fabric and each has it's own attraction for the baby to play with. The first block of the top row is chenille and has a padded gingerbread in the center, the second block is cotton sateen with a row of praire points. The third block is flannel and has a ribbon loop. The second row is a solid yellow fleece and the ships sail is attached on one side only. The middle block is minkee with nylon pony tail bands sewn down the center. The 3rd is a green terry cloth and the apple's leaf is loose. The first block of the bottom row is a fleece with dogs and a ribbon with a loop. The second is an orange cotton with a small ball sewn in the pocket. The third is a batik and the fish's fins are loose.
It is for my first great grandson. His mom loved it

The throw I made for my DB. My SIL told him he had to keep it nice. I told them he was to use and enjoy it and if it wore out I would make him another.
