Baby Quilt in 4 large blocks
#16
We do so many quilts that take weeks or months to complete. It's so nice to have some quick gratificationsome times. Very pretty. I've been looking at some patterns with larger squares. There are two king size quilts in my future...aaarrrggg....

Hi thequilterslink,
Thanks for the complement.
My avatar is a french braid variation which is a log cabin variation.
Log cabin is one of my favorite blocks because so many different looks can be achieved with that simple start.

I agree ditter43, So many projects are ongoing for months. Sometimes I just have to take a break with something quick.
It also seems that larger blocks offer a way to use fabrics that are a challenge to use for smaller blocks.
This is a fun book to have for someone like me who does a lot of baby quilts. I can't really spend much time on each one but they are for new babies at church and I still want each one to be special.
BTW: Have fun on those king sized quilts. I have pretty much sworn off kings. Too much fabric for me to handle comfortably.
