my wonderful neighbor repaired my lawn tractor. it runs like new and by the way, they just happen to have a new granddaughter. he wouldn't take a penny more than the parts needed to accomplish the repairs so i presented this quilt as an expression of my gratitude. i think we are all happy with the deal.

Beautiful quilt. Love the pattern. Sounds like a good trade off to me.

What a great idea and quilt. Hope the neighbor appreciates the quilt as much as you appreciated the help.

Soooooo sweet! I love the fabric! So. What decorative stitch did you do on the pink strips? I couldn't see. And did you do your own quilting? Was it stippling? Nosy minds want to know.

Very cute quilt! Don't tell the government, or they'll figure out a way to get a big piece of your barter!

Love the colors ! Great job. Isn't it fun to go back to the simpler days of bartering and trading "favors" instead of worrying about the almighty buck ! Is the pattern considered a rail fence ?
