That's adorable. My daughter loved ladybugs when she was little. Where did you get the border pattern? It's a shame that you didn't get to make it in the colors you preferred.

I'll PM the link to you for the pattern. It's free and it's a fabulous link! I didn't mind the pink and brown theme. My neice had that theme and so did a friend's daughter. But, when she insisted on ladybugs, I was at a loss. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a ladybug pieced pattern and I just got done doing a lot of applique work so I didn't want to go that route so I thought of the Attic's Window when I spotted green "lawn" colored fabric with daisies and ladybugs. I know she wanted to keep it to pinks and browns but I couldn't help myself there. Hopefully she likes it. :?

Sure does take some of the fun out of projects when the "receiver" puts so many conditions on the project. Guess the clue is to remember the child and the father, maybe Mom will learn in time to be grateful for people like you who share your beautiful talents with others.

Warning! Don't expect this mother to be to be particularly grateful. Again, think of the baby, not her mom.

What a great quilt - You came up with a great idea!!! Love the attic window - I am going to have to get me that pattern lol. Love the border with the appliqued lady bugs!!! If she doesnt like it I know I would

Its unfortunate that the younger generation doesnt appreciate alot of things and expect more than we ever thought about. When I had my two girls I was happy to get whatever I got!!! Sure didnt have registries etc.My first daughter did have a Peter rabbit quilt set thanks to grandma but nothing elkse in the room matched lol

My second daughter got a balooned theme quilt that I purchased at a garage sale and then her big sister and I painted a toy chest in that theme...it was a great project!!! We were the designers then

I hate it that you werent "into" it . If t sure doesnt show!!! I think you nailed it!!! :D
