Love what you did in that quilt.

Now about colors. Remember a lot of kids stuff is in primary/secondary colors. Not a thing wrong with that. In fact, IMO, a brighter colored quilt moves up in age with a kiddo better than a pastel quilt that might look baby-ish.

For her next quilt----------how about turquoise, purple, hot pink with maybe some chartreuse thrown in?

And there's nothing wrong with black and white with one or two primary colors added!

i think that quilts for newborns r really for the parents and in this case, they r first timers. Big time into pink for their little girl. Apparently , they both showed up at the hospital wearing pink shirts!

I really like this for a girl! I have some of that same ladybug print fabric, bought at JoAnn's! It's nice to get to see it made up and quilted. You do lovely work....
