Default Baby Quilt for Tropical Theme Room

This is for friends of ours who are doing their baby's room in a tropical theme...lots of blues/turquoise/coral....

Also tried my hand at making a stuffed hippo. I think I'll stick with quilting!

I used "Cuddle" on the back. It wasn't hard to work with, just had to adjust my tension each time I started on my midarm and got a few pokies on top when I was FMQ-ing but not when I was doing ruler work. I'm hoping after I wash it the pokies will go away. It sure makes a lovely pattern on the back.

That's a gorgeous quilt, and I love the hippo, too. Everything looks so soft.... The new parents are going to love those gifts.

Cute quilt and hippo! Washing will help with the pokies.

really like that quilt pattern and the colors are great. As far as the hippo--it's cute! I always figure when I make a stuffed animal, if others can tell what it's suppose to be, I've succeeded!
