and it was so nice to see some green. Here are a couple pics. The first 2 are pics of a quilt 30 volunteers made that hangs near the entrance. And then some of the many orchids.

I think that we need a trip to Longwood Gardens. I haven't been there in many years. I need to feel and smell spring. PA Flower Show won't be until March. Making plans for next week!!

Longwood is one of my favorite cures for the winter blahs. And then Chanticleer in Wayne at the beginning of April. So nice to see color and beauty.

I loved Longwood Gardens. I put it on par with the Keupenhof (spelling?) in Holland.

The pictures make me long for spring. I can almost smell the flowers and feel the sunshine through the glass. I must confess that I have no idea where Longwood Gardens are located.

It is west of Philadelphia, north of Wilmington, DE. It was started by DuPont. It is a very famous East Coast place to visit. I would compare it to Biltmore Estate in Ashville, North Carolina. But you can go here in the winter and see millions of orchids right now, at Christmas beautiful poinsettias, etc.

We've been waking up to -20 the past few days, made it up to zero yesterday! It's suppose to be 10 above today..a heat wave! This winter has been too long!
