Great bags and color choices. The buttons make them "finished". I was given one of the tulip bags already cut out. I agree that the 2 Hr. must have been a joke.

I love your 'bags'. I personally love making purses and totes, the fancier the better. Your comment about the two hour bag is funny, I feel the same way. Sometimes it takes me two hours just to cut the darn thing out and get the right color thread !

Great bags and wonderful colors and good idea for the magnetic close. She will love them. I love bag making and have accumulated a nice supply. Each new one is a challenge the first time and I do as you do make my own changes, such as the magnetic closure or zipper. Thanks for sharing!!!

I think the buttons will be ok on the bigger bag. They won't look like eyes once you remove the white packaging.

Both are very pretty. She could use the larger one to carry a shawl, sweater, book, etc. when traveling.

The larger bag was surprisingly easy to make. Directions were straight-forward, pictures clear, etc. I expected to breeze through the smaller bag as a result. BUT the smaller one is much more different - there's not a bottom piece - all the sides join together to make the bottom. The directions were clear, but I would scan them then guess. That method has never worked well, but I keep trying it anyway. So I'd sew and THEN I'd read to only topstitch one side of a pocket. Hmmmm... rip, rip, rip. So if I slowed down and went bit by bit I'd have a much easier time.
So many quilts, so little time.
