Our quilt guild did a Jelly Roll Race, where you sew all the strips of a jelly roll end to end with diagonal seams. Then you keep folding and sewing until you have a quilt top. Anyway, as you are sewing the strips and cutting the little triangles, you end up with a whole pile of scrap triangles. I kept mine, and a couple of other ladies gave me theirs. So I made a little doll quilt for a swap out of about 100 of the little triangles. They are only about 1-1/2 inches square.
