I keep a couple small boxes - one in the trunk of the car, one in the kitchen. When I go shopping, if I forget to bring some, I use the ones in the trunk. When I get home, I replace the trunk box with the one in the kitchen.

Those are so cute!!! I love them, they are so handy and make it easier hauling heavier items :D :D I hated it when I was half way up the stairs and the canned food bag would split open :x :x

There are a variety of patterns out there for green bags. Just Google Grocery Bag patterns and you will find loads. I ended up making my own. Very simple.

    Enjoy!

You'll still be able to buy small plastic bags like Glad.

When I was in Italy, visiting my son and family, I discovered that they have always had to pay for their bags if they don't bring their own with them. As soon as I got back home, I set to work making them a bunch of bags in various prints I had on hand. Most of them were from Joann's deco remnants. Now my d.i.l. says she even uses them for diaper bags, beach bags, etc. Next time I go over I'm going to add some interior pockets to a couple of them which I didn't think of before. I'm going to make a few for me, too. The last person I ever think of ... LOL 8)
