Default Bakerís quilt

Our nephew and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl into their boy-filled home. We got some input from his wife and this quilt is the result. Itís Eleanor Burnsí Quick Trip and measures about 42Ē by 52Ē. It used six fat quarters plus borders for the front and just under two yards for the diagonal seamed back. I started quilting it with a pretty variegated thread, but kept getting thread breaks on the top. I switched to my old faithful Connecting Threads essential on top, but left the variegated in the bobbin, and didnít have any more trouble. That will be a little secret we donít share with the kids. They will have to look pretty hard to figure it out.

Thanks for looking.
