Bali Wedding Star - Test block

I started another quilt but was itching to make a quilt for my bed finally. I decided why not, even though it isn't like me to not finish something once I start.

I wanted to make a test block to make sure that the fabrics I chose where the right ones, because this process takes a lot of sewing before you ever get to a block and I didn't want to work so hard and find out that it doesn't look right. I'm glad I did because one of the fabrics just wasn't working. So I went yesterday to my LQS and chose a new fabric and now I'm really happy.

The colors are based off of two pictures in my bedroom.

Here is my test block. I imagine this will be my last block for months as the process is a long one.

Your colors are very pretty and very subtle. It should be a very elegant quilt.

Beautiful job! Very nice colors. That will be just gorgeous when you finish. So hopefully you won't lose your steam and keep going! I have a quilt friend who finished a queen size one recently. She did it in her first year of quilting. It turned out just amazing.

Wow beautiful block. This quilt is on my bucket list. I have the pattern and most of the fabric. Just a few more UFO's to finish up so I can start.
