    Here's a quilt I just finished. It's a reproduction of a Irish castle's floor. It's a pattern out of Quiltmaker and it's king size.

Absolutely stunning - I love everything about it, the pattern, the fabric, the piecing and the quilting - what I love even more is how you so calmly say 'It's from Jan/Feb 2011 issue' And IT'S STILL FEBRUARY!!! And not only is this pieced but quilted as well! Hats off to you! Now I'm going to google Ballyseede castle - I know Ireland quite well but can't place it... :-D :-D :-D

Here it is http://www.ballyseedecastle.com/index.php it's a very nice looking hotel! And I lived in Co Kerry for a while and often drove down the road it's on, so I must have passed it! Lovely doggies they have too! Check out the pics. ;) :-D

Fabulous- I often admire tiled floors and think they would make great quilts- art deco stained glass windows too. This one certainly does!

Another cool thing about the Ballyseede floor link is that I am pretty sure the "seede" in this place comes from the Irish gaelic word "Síoda", meaning silk, and I find that little textile link intriguing and charming!

Could you post a close up of the block? I am intrigued how it appears to be curved but I am pretty sure it does not contain any curved pieces- nice optical illusion.
