WOW!!!!! I saw a similar quilt in the International quilt show this year in Cincinnati. I have been dreaming of making one ever since. It will probably never happen because I don't enjoy hand applique. This one is much nicer than that one. Nicer quilting too. Your customer and you need to enter this in a show. It is a winner. Would love to know which pattern this is. WOW

OK, now you are making me blush! Thank you all for your Wonderful comments. My customer pick up the quilt today and she was very pleased. I encouraged her to get it professionally appraised ASAP.
The pattern was from Woman's Day magazine in 1969. You had to send for it and enlarge them accordingly. It was a replica ofan 1840's Quilt called " The Friendship Quilt" it is picture in Elly Sinkevetch (sp?) first Baltimore Album Book.
I doubt the quilt will see any shows. It was commissioned. I was truly blessed to have been able to enjoy it up close and personal for as long as I did.

When I mentioned our getting together to complete my quilt it was in reference to you doing the machine quilting. Your work is superior.

I just did a quilt Google search and found Elly Sienkiewicz has several books also classes. Some of her books are available in the library. I have been getting some of my quilting books from the library to save money. If I love them I often buy them.
