Oh I hope you post your "Barn Quilt Quilt". That sounds fun to make. Thanks for your 'Barn Quilt' info! It sounds like so much fun to do. I'm thinking I need this Elenor Burns book.

This is a beautiful quilt barn block. My husband and I follow the trails whenever possible. We have several hundred "finds" in our photo collection. My website has many pics.
My next novel is about a quilt barn painter. I'm currently doing the research and rough draft. Next week I'm speaking at a Ntl. Educators convention about the quilt barns. I think I have 175 pics for the presentation with ideas about using quilting for teaching.
I hope to figure out a way to put my Power Point on my website so people can enjoy the many lovely patterns we've found.

I have a huge detached garage that I could put a barn quilt on the front of. I need to look into it!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece. I've got it on my bucket list to make a "shed quilt" since I don't have a barn. But that's after a lot of UFOs and a long list of "to dos"

I love your barn quilt. You and your husband did a great job. I think I might have to order Elenor Burns Barn Quilt book. Thanks so much for sharing the picture and information.

I'm in the process of painting one. I used plywood from Lowes that I have painted both sides with two coats of exterior paint. I plan on taping off my design and hope it turns out as well as yours.
I love the idea of being able to change out the block depending on the season or holiday!

I would love to have a "barn quilt" made of wire so that I could have a collage of them to hang on my garage wall which leads into my entry way. Anyone have any idea if that's available anywhere???? If someone takes up the challenge contact me and I'll buy! LOL

Love the barn quilts. We travel from Northern Michigan to the tip of Texas and I check the barns as we pass them. More and more quilters are participating. Then Old Mission Peninsula has approximately 12. The peninsula is 18 miles long.
