Well--after HOURS of prep work (I am not kidding)--here's the results so far.....

I had to figure out the size the photos should be--decide on photos that would work (hours) pick colors--and spend hours cutting pieces. And I haven't even touched the tree squares!!

I didn't think through barn colors as well as I wished--My stallion's barn will be 3rd down and will face the opposite direction. But his barn has fabrics from two other barns that I'd like to not be by his, but there's no way that will work. That's okay. Sigh--I can't think of everything.

I'll post another pic of the quilt. Then I'll keep adding photos here as I go...

I think it is going to be great.. The pics of your horses in the barn door really adds a special touch.. In fact I love the barn quilt but I do not know if I am brave enough to attempt it..

This is fabulous, and, I think, better than those quilting shows!

I love it, and like the others, hope that you have plenty of uninterrupted time so you can get it to the binding stage and beyond! 8)

Great choice of barn fabrics! And of course the horses are irrisistable. But please don't get stressed out over the whole project. Slow down a little & have fun with it!! It is going to be gorgeous.

Wow--out internet was down for 7 hours!! Between that, no hot water, and keeping the wood furnace full, I feel like I'm Laura from Little House on the Prairie. :D At least my sewing machine worked!!

    Here's how far I got:

Awesome job! This is going to be a priceless quilt. I am amazed at all the talent everyone has on here. I am on my second quilt but I am still doing the basic 9 patch. I fear trying the more complicated stuff, even though I am dying to try them.
