I also think its a great idea. I don't have a barn, but I was wondering if my storage shed would work, I'm thinking right above the door.
Are they made of wood and what kind of paint, acrylic ,reg house paint.

They are made of wood, but I don't know the type of paint. Go to Home Depot or Lowe's and they should be able to tell you what kind of paint to use.

I love the Oregon coast. I like the quilt shop Creative Fabric in Wheeler--a few miles north of Tillamook too. Thanks for posting: your photos are wonderful!
