I love, love, love batiks so decided to use them for this 'Moon Over Mountain' quilt I am making for my brother - who is an avid moutain climber of the Oregon Cascades. The blocks are 12 x 14, and were supposed to be hand appliqued. But I used fusible web, and machine blanket stitched the edges. Only 20 more blocks to finish..for his birthday in April. Which Mountain would you like to climb??

I also love all Batiks! I have quite a few of them, always collecting more. I find it hard to cut into them. Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous what a wonderful pattern to make for your brother. I grew up in Oregon (Aloha) and love the mountains!

The moon is cutaway under the mountain, so you fuse that piece first.

I love it. It has an Asian feel. Real pretty work too.
