I can see why you like them now - they're beautiful. Depression blocks make such a lovely quilt, especially in batiks.

These quilts are very attractive. You did a good job in using up some fabric you just didn't like.

    Hi Barnbum

Love them! Especially the border fabric on the second one and that luscious paprika colored batik you used for the inner border on both. The paprika one sets off the colors in your charms perfectly! I have been saving light and dark value batik HST for a layout just like that. But I am going for a bed size quilt so I need a lot more than I have. Love putting them together for a little mindless play time at the machine. Yours turned out great.

Thanks! The 2nd one is my favorite. The first makes me think "earth" the second "ocean." What size are your HST? I did the sew all the way around the squares method--makes everything work together nicely.

And have you had a chance to quilt that cute adorable lil log cabin wall hanging piece? Or is that customer beauty still on?

Love your use of batiks! I was thinking I hadn't seen any posts from you in a long time. I've always enjoyed seeing your work and your mini's.

Your two beauties remind me once again why batiks are all I usually buy anymore. ;-)

The ones destined for this layout are 2" unfinished size. They make a 6" finished block. The orange quilt is still on the rack. A little more than half way done with it.
