Great! I have that die too, but haven't tried it yet either....I watched a you tube from Quilting from the the Heartland, and although shar does not use a die, her sewing instructions are spot on...

Beautiful quilt. I really like the color combination; it is rather subtle and yet makes a beautiful statement. I do think the curved piecing with batiks is more of a challenge that regular quilting cottons because the tighter weave is less forgiving when pressing down the seams after stitching.

Did you use a curved piecing foot?

No. I do have the book "Winding Ways Quilts: A Practically Pinless Approach" You use your regular quilting foot and a single pin. Yep. Just one.

The book provides detailed pressing instructions that allow the block to lay perfectly flat.

My brother actually was looking thru this book one day and saw one of the inspiration quilts, then asked me to make this one. I cut the pieces and he selected the 2 fabrics for every block. Then arranged the completed blocks on my design wall. The photo is so disappointing because a lot of the fabrics that look solid actually have subtle design.

It's beautiful. I may have to check out the Winding Ways die.
