    Batter Up! quilted by Andi

Customer made this top for her nephew who is a huge baseball fan. She found the baseball fabric and then created her own design to highlight the different fabrics - didn't she do a great job? She asked for mitts in the gold blocks and batts/balls in the green, the rest she left up to me.

I knew what ever I choose for the outer border wouldn't show up well on the front, but I sure like how it looks on the back!

    Thanks for looking.

    Andi

Your quilting has sent this quilt around the bases! It's a HOME RUN for sure. Such a cool quilt.

Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

I did the continuous curve in the pieced areas freehand; the baseball designs are digitized patterns that I purchased and used on my IntelliQuilter (IQ), which is a computerized system for my longarm. I did manipulate some of the patterns - to split out the mitt for the blocks, for instance. The IQ is very user friendly that way.

I'm normally not a baseball fan but I'm sure a fan of this fabulous quilt! The top itself is super cool but your quilting is an absolute home run! No strike outs here! Congrats to both of your for making such an awesome quilt! I know her nephew will love it! And if he doesn't, I know my DSD or DS would! LOL!
