But, there are many days when she doesn't go out. I have been saving bird fabric to make a quilt for her, but just didn't know what to do. I'm getting all the fabric out NOW and starting to figure it out. Thanks for the inspiration.
I'm so happy to be a positive inspiration. I know the quilt will bring your sister much happiness and pleasant memories!!!!

It's an idea I got here on the board. Another member made a wonderful quilt using the churndash just as I am doing. My thanks to her for the inspiration.

That is neat! I, too, would have been at a loss as to how to frame them but that churn-dash seems very appropriate. Have never tried it, but think I will now.

Thank you for the inspiration - will definitely follow along.

So it being Sunday, I worked off and on all day and got a good bit done. I want to have 6 different blocks for the center section of the quilt, so that's what I'm working on now. Today I made 3 of them but am having second thoughts about 2. I may decide to redo them. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.
First today I finished up the churndashes. Yayyyy!! I'll show those first.

redid the one that was off, and made the last two

the last two, I tried to bring out the wrens with the brown

All 9 churndash blocks finished
