Here is a picture of my bed runner top that I just finished. Since this is the first blocks I've made, not perfect but if you won't tell, I won't. Have enought blocks to make pillow shams as well as at least one pillow. Only made it one block wide since that seemed to look right.

Pretty! I love the colors. I need a couple of those for my bed to keep the dog off the regular quilt. But I just use towels. LOL

I like it! I've seen the runners in all shapes and sizes. Some are wider and some are longer. You can't hardly go wrong with those choices. Nice job!

I think it is gorgeous and wide enough, the shams will be pretty with it.

Really nice. The one block width looks great on the bed.
For your first quilt project, you did good, girl! very nice use of color and the idea of just a runner for the bed is cool!
    peace :D

Oh my! That's very pretty! Some ladies I quilted for last year made similar "runners" to use over their pillows instead of using shams.

Yes, next project is a barn quilt. Have been taking classes thru Rhodes Scholar each fall in Ripley WV and this year it will be a barn quilt. Can't wait! Am thinking about using stars from the states I've lived in for the additional blocks needed.
