    Default been productive spring break

I have several 1.5 - 2 yd pieces left over from a previous project. It stinks when reality doesn't match your vision. These 2 pieces also didn't play very well w/ others and ended up being very difficult to use in quilts, so I decided to use them in predominantly 2 color quilts.

This first one is my current project and I was able to find a border fabric that went nicely w/ the center blocks. I also love the way the orange polka dot is an unusual surprise.

This is what the quilting looks like. I hand quilt all my quilts. The border will be quilted in a cross-hatch pattern. I'm about half finished w/ this. It's approx 50x70

This is the next quilt - very simple, but very elegant. I'm looking forward to the spaces that will show off my hand quilting. This quilt will have wool batting in it and bound in the same green fabric. It's also approx 50x70

Thanks for letting me share my therapeutic outlets w/ you!

I like them both. I have not seen this pinwheel before. What is it called? I love the border you added. It works really well with the green,

QM - the pinwheel quilt - I found when I googled "2 color quilts". I did trace it back to a blog of someone's and she called it Wyoming Beauty. In another quilting group, someone posted a quilt they were doing in batiks and she got the pattern from some class she took and that person called it something else.

The chain is 1.5" finished (2" unfinished) The blocks consist of a 9 patch and half-square triangles that finish at 4.5 inches.

Last nite I was googling "2 color quilts" again and saw another quilt that was similar, but instead of half-square triangles, it was just squares.

I really like that shade of green in your first quilt. I have that shade of green in my living room. Beautiful quilting, and piecing.
