The side with the most blocks can be the top or the bottom that is tucked in. I think you did fantastic.

A lot of quilts have different rows at the top than the bottom. This is a tip that is good for making a square quilt pattern fit a bed better! See? You knew what you were doing and didn't even know it! LOL.

Actually, having those extra rows will allow enough fabric to tuck over your bed pillows and the center of the quilt will sit where it should! Looks like a brilliantly planned "mistake" to me. :-)

Oh, in case you don't already know... After you sew a seam press it with the iron to set the stitches and then press to one side or press open (which ever you prefer). You wouldn't believe how it helps with little puckers and pulls. Remember to let your machine do the work and you are just guiding and fitting in. Looks great! Welcome to the board.
