Janice, The birds are wonderful!! Are you trying to replicate the qilt you saw? This is a great idea. I did a crayola quilted wall hanging last year and it was fun. I think your shading looks better than mine. Keep up the great work.

This is really awesome. I have to try it! What medium are you using to color the designs (fabric paint, crayons)? I like the idea of the design being on freezer paper underneath, I will have to give that a try :-). Nice job and thanks for sharing! Bobbie

Wow! That will be a stunning quilt. I love the detail you have done in the coloring. Usually coloring just adds a little highlight to the block. Your's brings the birds to life. Good job.

THANK YOU for reminding me of this beautiful art. I had been thinking of embroidery blocks, but this is better. My Mom and Great Aunts used to do this on table cloths, so it's a family tradition. Mine will go to my Granddaughter. Your blocks are beautiful, be sure to let us see the finished quilt.

I'm using Crayola Crayons and I have posted a tutorial on how to do this if you would like to see the steps. I should mention, you should wash your fabric before starting.
