I did this quilt in the winter for my niece, it was my first finished quilt. I just winged a pattern as I went.

I forgot to mention that so far I've been hand piecing, hand quilting and hand binding, so the stitches are pretty big, and its not perfectly squared up by any means.

This was my second, before I bound it. I also just did whatever for this as well. I seem to get stressed by strict patterns, and feel less creative... not that the result of my creativity is fantastic, its just more satisfying :)

I just finished my third yesterday, I'll try to post a pic when I get home from work, its a singed questbook quilt from my sisters wedding a couple weeks ago. it was pretty fun too :)

I'm just over in Alameda County right on the edge of the bay. My mother-in-law lives in Martinez and we go there a lot.
