I am working on a star spin as well. I dont like the instructions, they could be written better, but I think I will make it threw. On my corner pieces I made my own template pieces instead of app. them. How did you, or going to do yours?

There is a pattern which is not free but here is a site you can download this similar one for free. It is called Tessuto at:
http://www.blankquilting.com/FreePatterns.aspx
just do a search for Tessuto Quilt and it should come up or you can go to page 28 of their patterns. You can do a few changes and make it work I believe.
