    Default Big Fish

    Hey all,
Here's my most recent finish. It's called Big Fish at the Falls. It's an abstraction of a fish I saw jumping in the James River near where I live. I made a smallish doodle drawing in my sketchbook, then enlarged it and traced it onto black fabric and painted it using Jacquard Lumier Paints. Two layers of batting and quilted on my Sweet Sixteen. Measures 30" x 39".

    Thanks for looking,
    Rob

That's Ah-mazing! What a beautiful piece you've created there - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I'm expecting to see that at next years Virginia State Fair with a beautiful ribbon attached.. Thanks for sharing your technique/ideas..

    Thanks y'all.

Tallchick- it's a piece I made for a biennial show at artspace gallery in Richmond. They asked for a piece that was about the James River, so that's what I came up with.

That is an amazing quilted wall hanging. I love it. That should be entered into a quilt show somewhere. I bet you would win Viewer's Choice for sure.
