    A BIG oops ~ Can't believe I didn't spot it sooner

Just finished piecing this. Showed it to my quilting buddy and teacher. Put the borders on and none of us saw the big oops until I put it on bed to take a picture. Thank HEAVEN I did and found the oops before it was quilted. Angels watching out for me because the inspector didn't point it out! Will fix then take to get quilted.

I'm so glad you spotted it before quilting! I hope the fix isn't too difficult. It will be gorgeous when you finish. I love bargellos and hearts are my favorite.

Oops! A broken heart! Beautiful quilt. I just love those little oopsies that appear, but don't know if I could leave it there myself.

LOL! This is probably one oops you can't get away with! Your quilt inspector loves it anyway! Beautiful quilt, btw. I love bargellos and have made several myself!

Oh no, glad you found it before it was quilted - it's lovely!

I did a customer quilt once. She was featured quilter for our show that year, and it wasn't until it was hanging in her display in the show that any of us saw that she had a piece in one of her blocks turned the wrong way! We just didn't tell anyone, and it wasn't really that noticeable, so she was okay with it.

This is the EASIEST most common MISTAKE to make on a Bargello. I have done it and I am sure that a lot of others will confess to making the same mistake. It doesn't look like to hard of a fix. And then you will have a very lovely quilt!

Your inspector certainly likes it..... For napping. No reason for him to point out any issues when comfort is his main criteria! I at first thought the mistake was a glitch with the pixels ( what do I know?) I hope it isn't to difficult, beautiful quilt and although it it is gorgeous. It will be stunning after quilting. Wonderful job.

I don't know how 3of us missed it but we did. It wasn't until I took the picture and looked at the picture. Moral of the story for me photo before quilting. It screams out in the picture. Guess we can chalk it up to a "gifted" moment. It is now fixed and took less than an hour...thank heavens

I am glad you found it before it was quilted. If it were my quilt (and I've done many similar things to my quilts) I would correct it or it would drive me batty, but that's just me. It is a beautiful quilt.

Sometimes they're easier to spot in a photo. Maybe we should take a photo of all tops before quilting.
