    the red makes it look rich! Plus I like darker bindings b/c they don't show dirt and wear as much.

    I like both, but I think I'd go with the red, it brings out the red in the other fabrics. Please show us when you're finished.

    Nice links,thanks. I too make my own binding, I have thought about getting diffrent binding tools before but decided I have done with out this long....Well not saying I won't end up with one, this trying to cut back of buying sewing stuff(gagets,rulers,fabric,fabric,fabric,lol) is tough.Anyway I think you will find that binding you make yourself is much easier to apply too!

    How do I make my own binding?
    Cut strips 2 1/4", fold in half WST long-ways; press. Sew to the right side of the piece. Press the binding out; fold over and stitch to the back. I think when you make your own binding, it's better quality and you can always match the piece, rather than depending on what the store sells!
