    When there is a small amount of a color, it is an accent, the more of that color you add, it becomes part of the background. So if you like the blue fabric, add more. If you can't add more and it sticks out like a sore thumb, remove it. Actually don't look at the quilt itself, look at a photo and it will give you a better idea.

    Oh yesw, I definitively like the 2nd version better, makes the block jump out more.
    But it's a gorgeous quilt whatever you decide.
