    Birds of a feather finished

    Phew! This quilt took me a lot longer than I thought it would. The quilt is pretty large. It is laying on queen size bed. I think it measured 96 x 108 or darn close to it. The quilting is finally done and it is off the rack. I posted a sneak peek here:

    Tech stuff: Batting is Hobbs 80/20. Thread is Glide on top, magnaglide in bobbin. Quilted on my Innova longarm, no computer. Free hand feathers and ruler work.

    came out great. love the hand emb on the birds. and the quilting really adds another element to it.
    put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

    You did an amazing job on your quilt. The quilting certainly enhances the piecing. Most people just meander over embroidered blocks -- you really set them off beautifully!
