I'm not really a red person but I've had several ask for these so I finally did it.

Fabulous job! Looks so cozy! Did you machine applique or hand?

Love it. I was going to ask about the applique stitch, too. What stitch did you use, and was it hand or machine? I just love the look of it -- and it would make a wonderful gift.

thats the way I do my applique as well....I love your quilt it reminds me of the quilts used in the cabin rentals of the smokey mountains. Where did you find the pattern? or did you freehand the bear and the tree? I would love to do one of those quilts!
Here is a picture of my latest applique block.

I really like the black bear and moose against the red plaid-good contrast.

I love those other blocks too! It would look great with a combination in one quilt. The moose makes me think of home (Canada) I will send you a PM.

Your blocks have a 'folksy' feeling. I love that look/feeling.

Fabulous look. Red is a neutral... but really gives the blocks their zing factor!

Love that Smokey Mtn. feel, Marsye.
