Just the style that appeals to me. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I'd say you are doing a great job working "out of your comfort zone", and I'm sure your DGS will love it. It's nice sometimes to go outside the box, so to speak, and challenge yourself.

Love it and perfect for a young man graduating and on his way to a great future with GMA's quilt full of love to keep him warm.

This type of quilt may be out of your comfort zone, and mine also, but it will make your DGS soooo happy!! And that is what counts. He will think of you every time he looks at it. You are doing a beautiful job. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Very cool improv! Going out of your comfort zone seems to be working for you. Make sure you post the finished quilt. I am thinking that it is going to be an award winning quilt!

You definitely have gotten the hang of 'contemporary'.
