I love toile also, but never would've thought to use it like this. But you did & it's gorgeous! This quilt is so elegant & classic-looking. I love it! And BTW... the reason we're so complimentary of your quilts is because they're fabulous! Keep'em coming!!!

WOW I love your black & white log cabin, I would never had thought to make a log cabin in those colors, I love the fabric and the center block fabric is just awesome. Log Cabins are my favorite pattern and I have made a lot of them. I would love to have some of that fabric, I will have to see where I can find it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work, and keep them coming.

I'm very suprised by the dynamism and the enthusiasm of the community. I usually post my work on a french blog and the feedback is not that fast and voluminous, when I receive 3 answer for my post, I'm very happy...
So here's one of my first quilt. It's from a french decoration Magazine, Marie Claire Idées. The center motives of the log cabins are "toile de Jouy" fabric. The "toile de Jouy" was created in the 18th century in a town, Jouy-en-Josas, near Paris. It is easy to identify because of the printed rural scenes motives.
It's a mix of symmetric and asymmetric log cabin blocks.

I love your quilt! I have several toille fabrics that I love but wasn't sure what pattern I would use for them. I am starting one like yours today....thank you very much for sharing your idea.

Wonderful. Great that you went Out of the Box because you took the Log Cabin block to a new level . Please show us more of your quilts, you know we will admire them and have plenty to say about them. May in Jersey-
