She did and I did too. I only have one daughter and she's been through a lot with health issues. She keeps it on her bed all the time.

The reason (I think) that the label looks transparant is the material I embroidered the words on is a lighter color black than the backing, which makes it look different. And probably the flash on the camera helped too.

And I want to thank everyone for the kind words. It's so much fun looking at all the different quilts, I just enjoy it so much.

    Oh, my that is beautiful!

The label is wonderful! A label tell so much abot a quilt. I try to make sure and at least date and have the quilt name on my quilt.

This quilt is awesome! You did a really beautiful job on this. I love the label as well. I was wondering is that red along the inside of the wide border rick rack? It really sets it off nice! Was wondering as I am still in the learning process. I just have such a hard time with deciding on what quilt design to use. Anyway, your quilt is really pretty.

    Corey,
Yes, that is ric rak, there is a funny story behind that. My daughter knew I was making the quilt and I made the mistake & asked her if she would like a real narrow red border septarating the outer border & inside border, well she no. So I went with her suggestion & afterwards I couldn't complete it because it just didn't look right. So I came up with the solution of red wide ric rak, then I bought the striped b&w material to make binding. I was happy & she was extremely happy. I learned a valuable lesson go with your on instincts and never ever ask a non- sewer/quilter for opions. And Corey pick out a quilt pattern that pleases you & just go for it. I think you always learn something new each time you make a quilt, it's always a learning experience. If you are just starting, maybe a wall hanging would be a good start. Have fun!
