    Black White and Red

This top was a PIF from a board member a few years back. The stipulation was that it be finished for a veteran. I apologize that I do not recall the member who offered it. The chosen vet recipient was in the air force. He and his wife play golf. And they are moving to a new home in a warmer climate. So I made it with flannel and no batting. I used the embroidery machine to quilt the motifs. I had to move the embroidery machine to the kitchen peninsula to be able to support the quilt and avoid pulling while sewing. I digitized the motifs myself.

    Very nice quilt.

I made a large double size red, white and black quilt for our bed. Made up all the scraps for kids quilt sizes I make and donate.

Nan ~ That's a great quilt. Thanks for the quilting with embroidery machine inspiration! I could only do a small quilt with mine and maybe should just consider QAYG to do each individual block before joining.

Beautiful top finished and you did a great job with the quilting. I have been thinking about buying the hoops for an embroidery machine to use to quilt with-have started asking questions of the Bernina dealer and others.
