What a nifty quilt! Been wondering how to work different black material together.

Me either! I have a thread that's the perfect color for the back, but only two and a half bobbins... so I will need more. Also, I decided to quilt the top in bright yellow--it looked brighter than the variegated. Dee--will it look fine with red on the back and yellow on the front? Or will be look dotted? What would you do?
I'm sure you have already started to quilt it by the time I saw this. Your color threads sound good to me but there is a chance it could look dotted. How is it turning out?

I haven't started yet! I got tired of "resting" that muscle as the doc suggested and went out to play with horses. I have everything set up--switched the machine over and decided to try the clear extender table. I usually don't have luck using it because the quilt gets stuck on the corners. But I tried the daisy meander on a practice patch and it does look dotted....but maybe that's not a bad thing for this particular top. No other color will look good on the back...unless I just use bright yellow both places. What would you do???

What an awesome quilt! You do such good work. I have t-shirt quilts on the brain right now (probably because I have 20 shirts looking at me right now and I'm trying to get it all together (none the same size). I can see your design as a t-shirt quilt.
