Your students will have a great intro to geometry, art, Amercan history, crafts and I'm sure a few more subjects just by hanging that in your classroom......

Yes! I read them picture books on quilting--the latest was "Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt." They help me with math--(5th graders did that more than first graders). I talk to them about how much math is in a quilt--and tell them how it used both sides of my brain. They even get to play with leftover hst to create patterns. :-)
