Default Blacks and brights

Last summer at camp I pieced this top.53 x 62" ..I cut 6 "squares from any scraps I had that were black with brights in them...and then cut 2" strips of colour families to "design" this. I machine quilted it on my machine with the serpentine stitch on all the seams, then I bound it, then I went back in and SID on the black squares, and then back in and stitched a 4" square inside that. I put a "fireside" type of fabric on the back....nice and cuddly and hope it will give some young person some comfort. june-2-2019-finish-black-brights001_edited-small-.jpgjune-2-2019-finish-black-brights002-small-.jpg

Looks like a fun, comfy quilt to look at and be wrapped up in.

Wonderful design elements, great way to melt down stash and looks quick & easy. Thanks for sharing. My quilt guild does a lot of charitable giving and I will definitely keep this in mind.
