Thanks to eveyrone who gave advice! It definitely came in handy. I didn't do a decorative stitch, just a small zig zag and it worked great, so I thought I'd share.

This is for the little girl who lost her "slinky" in a fire that destroyed everything the family had, I gave it to her Aunt today and she loved it!

    Thanks for looking!

Uh! That looks great! I'm glad you posted the pic--I was wondering what the binding was going to look like--just couldn't picture it in my head how the binding would look with nothing inbetween. It's beautiful!   Oh, and I just love the colors you used--nice and bright!

You definitely know your quilting! That is so soft and fluffy. Dainty, cuddly, snuggly. She has to love it. Good job./Regards, Dorothy

I can just see the little girl loving up on that binding. What a beautiful new comfort object for a child who's gone through such a tough experience.

Thanks so much everyone! I certainly needed your encouraging comments today! (Work issues....)

I've gotten so many great hints and tips from all of you, and I can't thank you enough for being there when I had questions, you've helped me more than you'll ever know!

I'm pleased with the way it came out, almost makes me want to do another with blanket binding...mind you I said "almost"! :-)

Have a wonderful day, and thanks again!

    Carrie
