    Hey, the topic title of this post scared me witless LOLOL :D I mean being Irish and Mohawk, I had never ever seen a BLUE INDIAN. Whewwwwwwwwww thankfully it is a QUILT! And a beautiful one at that! :thumbup:

    Wonderful ideas on this quilt. I looked at the picture for some time, before reading your description, and thought to myself, "wow, those borders look like thunderbirds". Then read your description. Of course! Lightbulb moment, they are bald eagles. Sometimes it takes me a while.

    really, you're correct! There's only 1 bald eagle on each side. I was saving typing!I had drawn out a fish to go beneath them(in claws) discarded the idea & went w/simple. SO thunderbirds/ eagles take your pick!

    That is amazingly beautiful! I'm sure she'll find a whole new love for her blue bedroom when she sees it.

    As for the panel, I've never seen anything from Wal-mart look so good. That fits perfectly into the overall design and is in fact one of my favorite parts of the quilt.
