Not done yet.

I have a friend that is gravely ill and trying to get a lap quilt to her for her chemo sessions. Also, I had lots of sewing machine issues which are now taken care of by buying a new machine...hehehe but there is a learning curve.

Oh, my. We certainly wouldn't want the stitched convicts dripping onto the board either. How about just snipping a bit of their work clothes instead? Border the block with the stripes, or put a mini quilt behind bars? Put a star in the corner to represent yourself.

I made my block into my Guild name tag. It isn't as crooked as the pic appears. Really!

The thought that came in my head the minute I read this was of a black mamy ( like the old cookie jars - red polka dot dress.... wrap on head) with her hands over her ears...
